Parts Advisor (Marine Industry - Leisure Yachting) required in Southampton, Hampshire

Position: Yachts Parts Advisor
Location: Southampton
Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 per week, 7.30am-4.30pm

This is a unique role, not quite like working in car parts or a builders merchant. Boat parts aren't catalogued in the same manner and therefore this role requires someone switched on with an understanding of boats, preferably some technical knowledge and a good eye for detail.

As a Yachts Parts Advisor Advisor, you’ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring that vessels have the components they need to navigate the open waters!

Responsibilities include:

Collaborate with managers, engineers and maintenance teams to identify required parts;
Source and order parts from reputable suppliers to ensure timely availability;
Maintain a well organised inventory of yacht components and spare parts;
Verify the accuracy and quality of incoming parts shipments;
Keep detailed records of parts inventory, orders and transactions;
Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams and external suppliers;
Carrying out parts deliveries and collections to customers;
Stay updated with the latest advancements in yacht technology and parts.

The Requirements:

Strong knowledge of Kerridge database (highly advantageous);
Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities;
Resourceful.
