Quality Control Manager required in Plymouth - Marine, Leisure Yachting
Monday - Friday, full-time & permanent

We are hiring a full-time Quality Control Manager to join our client's Motor Yacht Sales & Repair team in Plymouth.

Do you?

Do you have experience in managing a large team (40-60 people);
Hold direct responsibility for Customer Service in a customer-facing role?
Take ownership of your product or service to completion?
Have a customer-first mentality?

Overview:

Managing a team of between 40-60 productive repair engineers, the purpose of the role is to keep the engineers productive and ensure they maintain high quality standards of work throughout the full process, working with Customer Service at the forefront. Reporting to the 'Customer Ready' Manager, the Quality Controller will be responsible for taking ownership of the boat through to completion, signing off only when you genuinely believe the yacht is ready for delivery to the customer, when you are satisfied that all work has been completed to the highest standard and that, putting yourself in the customer's shoes, you would be happy.

Administration will include maintaining records of rejections and inefficiencies, and managing the daily labour plan for the Rectifications team.

Requirements:

Customer service and organisation are key;
People-management of a large team of productives;
Marine industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential;
Experience within a similar role such as Quality Control, Production Management, Workshop Control;
Ability to consider the job from the customers' perspective.
